Hello,

We seem to be unable to edit products after importing them with VM Products CSV. Ive found some issues where people say it might be imported under a different Vendor ID. I have edited this Vendor ID in our database (we have user ID 631 and 632) but this doesnt seem to work. Its just a simple (single vendor) store, but after importing or updating the buttons do not work anymore.

Does this sound familiar or do you know of a solution for this problem?

I have not yet heard of this however I think your on track by checking the vendor id.

You can see you vendor id (if the vendor shopper details are set) by running the following query on your Joomla database, replacing <prefix> with your db table prefix ...
SELECT virtuemart_vendor_id FROM <prefix>virtuemart_vendors;

The Vendor ID you declared in your import CSV will be used. The default is one as per VM.

There are many references to vendor id in the database, so if you did get the Vendor ID wrong then you should not attempt to update the vendor ids using SQL.

The products in the CSV are referenced by SKU so you should be able to use VMPCSV to fix the issue by updating the vendor ids and doing an update/import.

Please come back if this info doesnt solve your issue.

Hello,

The result was, as expected, 1.

My products are also imported with 1 as vendor ID, so, if i update my products (or sync them) i should be able to edit the products again, but that isnt true.

Are you viewing the products with a different user to the one used when importing?

Have you tried adding a product manually using the same user which did the import?

Otherwise I will need to see your site. If the above is not the answer then please make me a temp login and send to support at ekerner.com.

Thanks.
